Seattle to Portland is sort of like a big thing here. Much more of a "thing" than I would have suspected before I moved here. The act of riding your bicycle from Seattle to Portland (roughly 205 miles) seems like a crazy fringe act. But it's not so fringe around here. It's actually popular. It's so popular that it sells out within days. And we're not talking like 500 registrations, they sell 10,000 registrations for the privilege of riding your bike for 16+ hrs over one weekend. Crazy, huh?
But we did it. I actually did it. And made decent time too.
