Suburban Ennui

It's 11pm on a Tuesday. I'm sitting on my red couch, which I believe is actually starting to envelop me (I have both an ass and a spine groove), and I'm watching some gender-specific programming on WEtv. I cooked some rather bland chicken breasts for dinner tonight, but it turns out my husband is working quite late and won't be home to eat them. NYC from Siem Reap.

Okyay, I'm that person who sits in the tuk-tuk with Shannon and misses New York while she's pondering Laos. I'll save all of the things I miss for another time, but given my lady's post, I feel compelled to take the admittedly slacker move of posting an entry from my own blog here because it speaks to how being away from New York has inspired in me understandings 180 degrees from Shannon's. Everything Else

I liked living in New York. Really. I did. You might think that’s a lie after some of the things I say in this blog post, but I liked it. I liked wandering the same blocks of Greenwich Village night after night, obsessive compulsively smelling the same wisteria vines before class.
