Susan Kirby-Smith commented on Anna's blog post Crying in public
"That's so funny. I knew what it was talking about, instantly, from the title. When you live any other place, and you're upset, you can jump in your car and cry there, and might even make it home before the tears start spilling. In NYC (and…"

Beloved university town. Home of the infamous Tate Street. Woolworths Civil Rights Museum has opened, Elm Street is bumpin' every weekend, Cone Mills has become kitch, and the NC band scene continues to thrive.

What are you?
Ex-New Yorker
What is your relationship to New York?
I lived there for one very interesting and activity-filled year. I deeply struggled with my decision to leave, and continued to struggle with it years later. I miss New York sometimes but I am happy to live where I live, and where I'm moving next.
